Janaury Reflections
Just a week ago, I was in a hospital bed; today, I'm enjoying a beautiful sunrise over Auckland City.
In moments like these, I feel truly grateful for the ability to wake up and enjoy such experiences. Life is quite unpredictable for me right now.
One day I'm walking steadily, the next I'm unsteady on my feet.
One day my vision is clear, with only minor glitches, and the next it's completely blurred.
One day I can engage in a normal conversation, while the next I struggle to speak coherently.
One day I can function without any issues, but the next I find myself confined to bed.
One day I'm able to drive, and the next it's completely out of the question.
This is my current reality; each glimmer, adventure, sunset I experience, and sunrise I witness offers me another day to appreciate the small joys in life.Despite the unpredictability of my condition, I find solace in these simple moments that remind me of life's beauty. Each sunrise is a promise of new beginnings, while every sunset marks a day well-lived, filled with gratitude and reflection.
The adventures I embark on, no matter how small, serve as reminders of my strength and determination to keep moving forward, embracing the unknown. Whether it's a walk in nature, a drive to the beach, or a quiet evening with a friend, these are the things that ground me and give me hope.
Every glimmer of joy, is a testament to my journey—a journey that has taught me the importance of living mindfully and cherishing the present. As I navigate through the challenges, I am continually inspired to find beauty in the everyday, to see past the struggles, and to celebrate the wons, however small they may be.
Through it all, I am learning to let go of what I cannot control and to embrace the life I have with gratitude and grace. This journey is uniquely mine, filled with lessons, growth, and endless possibilities. Each day is a gift, a chance to create memories, and to live a life that is authentically and beautifully my own.
