Transform Breakdown into Breakthrough
Embracing Change: Finding Your New Normal During Recovery and Healing
Something that has been running around my head, you know wen you fell like your having a breakdown have you thought of it more like a break thru instead. I honestly never did till recently. Life has been hammering me since August and its been exhausting let alone the medical conditions all fired off, the demons were having absolute party in the head and i felt my self at the edge of a cliff just about to falbecause quite frankly im exhausted of faking a smile, telling people im ok. im tired of the same fight day in and day out. im tired of in consitent people, my body is hurting and im screaming and no ones hearing and im like im not in a good space right now. For me its retreat, hide away and shut myself from the world this is where it got messy old me versus new me leaving my home, my cat and the things that keep me going or try something new.
I spent few weeks away and im not about to lie it was so dam hard, i was literally full of aniexty i was a wreck for first few days of my holiday, my therapist had regular chats with me. One thing she said think of this as a break thru not a break down and that hit a bit differently.
During this time, I found myself sleeping a lot, which is completely normal as my body is beganing to heal. I revisited places that once triggered me and reconnected with those who matter most in my life. I learned to let go of things and people that contribute nothing to my well-being. I raised my standards and discovered more about myself in the process.
It's important to recognize that what may initially feel like a breakdown can often be a breakthrough in disguise. When we experience intense emotions or face overwhelming situations, it can seem as though everything is falling apart. However, these moments frequently provide the opportunity for profound personal growth and transformation.
Embrace Vulnerability: Allowing yourself to be vulnerable is not a sign of weakness, but a step towards healing. It's in these moments of openness that true breakthroughs can occur.
Reflect and Learn: Use this time to reflect on past experiences. What lessons can be learned? What patterns can be broken? This introspection can lead to new insights and personal growth.
Seek Support: Reaching out to friends, family, or mental health professionals can provide the support needed to navigate through challenging times. Sharing your experiences can lead to new perspectives and solutions.
Practice Self-Compassion: Be gentle with yourself during this process. Acknowledge your feelings without judgment and give yourself the grace to heal at your own pace.
Set Intentions for Growth: Identify areas where you want to grow and set clear intentions. This proactive approach can turn a challenging period into a transformative experience.
Remember, healing is not always pretty and can be messy, but it's through these challenges that we often find our greatest strengths and insights. Embrace the journey and trust that each step forward is moving you closer to a more resilient and empowered version of yourself.
