Initially, I didn't think much of it when I got hurt. I assumed it was just some minor swelling and bruising, so I didn't give it much thought. However, when I started experiencing headaches, I knew it was time to seek medical advice. Despite knowing that I should have gone earlier, it's always easier said than done.
After a grueling two-year struggle, I can finally say that my efforts were not in vain. I've had a fantastic team supporting me every step of the way, and now I have some answers. It's such a relief to know that the issues I was facing were not just in my head! 🙃

I am currently suffering from post-concussion syndrome and have sustained damage to my right-side balance system, my ear unhappy, my eyes are doing crazy things and im like on the piss. This is a serious issue and my road to recovery will be long and challenging. Unfortunately, due to the prolonged nature of the injury, it is likely that the damage may be permanent. I am seeking an MRI to rule out any other potential issues and have the support of a specialist in Auckland to assess the extent of the damage to my balance. Much needed support in other areas.
