Life Coach Advice
I can provide you with all the resources, inspiration, and share my story. I can write books, organize events, and offer affordable memberships to help you on your healing journey and become the healthiest version of yourself. However, I cannot take the first step for you, nor can I force you to heal. Healing will come when you are ready. Unfortunately, it often arises from difficult experiences, such as losing a loved one, losing your home, or facing illness. Some people try to numb their pain with substances, while others become accustomed to living in chaos. Additionally, some people may resist letting go of certain relationships or addressing their issues, resulting in a cycle that affects others as well.
Healing has been a three-year journey for me, one that I initially struggled with because I was unwilling to confront my reality and accept that I needed help. I was like a ticking time bomb, unaware of the turmoil within me. I had grown accustomed to the life I had built, and while I focused on advancing my career and being a mother, all the good things were merely a façade. Deep down, I was desperately seeking help, but my voice was unheard. Even though I seemed confident, I lacked it, and everyone believed I was thriving in life.In truth, I was yearning for someone to recognize the silent cries for help hidden behind my smile. It took reaching a breaking point to finally acknowledge that I couldn't continue on this path alone. That realization was both terrifying and liberating.
The sad reality for me
My initial indicator of trouble was falling ill, and for a long time, doctors were perplexed about what was happening. It felt as though I woke up one day and never fully recovered, adding yet another illness to my growing list. Before I knew it, I was managing many different health issues.
The second indicator was the abusive relationship unfolding before me. I found myself sleeping in a car with my children and losing my job as the situation began to affect my work. No matter how hard I tried to shield the kids, they were impacted by it all. I noticed the downplaying of my struggles to others, while addictions began to take hold, and gradually, the world and the people I once knew were slipping away.
The third indicator was that my mental health was in shambles; I was constantly overwhelmed by anxiety, suicidal thoughts, depression, and experienced numerous burnouts and breakdowns.
The journey to healing began with small steps—seeking therapy, opening up to trusted friends, and allowing myself the grace to feel and process emotions I had long suppressed. It was a gradual awakening, peeling back layers of self-deception to uncover the authentic self beneath. I learned that vulnerability was not a weakness, but a strength that connected me to my humanity.
As I navigated this path, I embraced the importance of self-care and setting boundaries. I discovered the power of saying no to things that drained me and yes to activities that renewed my spirit. Each decision to prioritize my well-being became a win slowly rebuilding the confidence I thought was lost.
Today, I stand in a place of greater self-awareness and acceptance. The facade I once maintained has transformed into a genuine reflection of who I am—a person capable of experiencing joy and pain, and one who is continuously evolving. The journey is still in progress, and I recognize that I have reached a critical point in my health as I work on healing my nervous system and rewiring my brain. This phase is one of the most challenging and isolating parts of my experience. I am learning to embrace the good days while accepting that my life has changed, and moving forward is essential. Recovery is possible, but I will never return to 100%. Honestly, I wouldn't wish this on anyone, which is why I am so passionate about spreading the message: prioritize healing yourself before it's too late. I am grateful for the resilience and courage it has instilled in me.
Healing is not a destination but a lifelong journey of growth and self-discovery. It has taught me to cherish the moments of peace and to find strength in the challenges. I now understand that my story, with all its complexities, is a testament to the power of perseverance and the beauty of embracing one's true self.
