I am in the process of understanding and accepting my diagnosis of dissociation, while also seeking ways to reconnect with the world around me.It's a journey that requires patience and self-compassion, but each step forward is a testament to my resilience and strength. To be completely honest, if I hadn't begun therapy and addressing the unhealed trauma that has contributed to my body malfunctioning under pressure, I would never have received this diagnosis. I have only ever scratched the surface of my feelings, unaware of why the world seemed slightly different to me. As I learn and grow, I am also discovering how to reconnect with myself and my surroundings. I've been exploring yoga, spending time in nature, and practicing grounding techniques like mindful breathing, journaling, and learning to feel the pain I once buried. This journey is helping me find peace and view the world in a new, safe, and serene light.
